    Linux AppImage fix

    • Packages xdg-dbus-proxy as a self-contained executable so WebKit can launch it inside its nested sandbox using the bundled dependency closure.
    • Keeps the packaged WebKit helper tree reachable inside WebKit bubblewrap.
    • Adds a full UI/WebKit sandbox smoke test to prevent another entrypoint-only release check.

    The v1.1.6 AppImage was built and exercised locally through the main UI, bundled GStreamer, media proxy, WebKit sandbox, and D-Bus proxy path before publication.

    AppImage warning: The v1.1.5 AppImage aborts when WebKit starts its nested D-Bus proxy sandbox. Do not use it. Download the corrected Invio 1.1.6 release instead. The v1.1.5 Flatpak, APK, and server artifacts are unaffected.

    Invio 1.1.5 is the corrected Linux AppImage release. It supersedes the v1.1.3 and v1.1.4 AppImages.

    Fixed

    • Direct AppImage execution now selects and launches Invio instead of showing the runtime executable picker.
    • Bundles GTK 4, libadwaita, WebKitGTK, GStreamer, codecs, plugins, helper processes, fonts, locale data, and CA certificates.
    • Routes the GStreamer plugin scanner through the portable runtime launcher.
    • CI now executes the packed AppImage itself and rejects missing entrypoints or runtime payloads.

    Also included

    • Opens supported external YouTube and Invidious video links directly in Invio across the platform apps.

    AppImage warning: The v1.1.4 AppImage contains the bundled runtime dependencies, but direct execution does not select the Invio entrypoint. Do not use it. Download the corrected Invio 1.1.6 release instead. The v1.1.4 Flatpak, APK, and server artifacts are unaffected.

    Invio 1.1.4 is a corrective release for Linux AppImage users. It supersedes the non-portable AppImage published with v1.1.3.

    Fixed

    • Bundles GTK 4, libadwaita, WebKitGTK, GStreamer, codecs, plugins, helper processes, fonts, locale data, and CA certificates in the AppImage.
    • Routes the GStreamer plugin scanner through the portable runtime launcher.
