What & why

A day marker floated in ~76px of blank space: the divider's 22px/6px margins stacked with the group-start gap of the message below it (a day break always forces a group start). The marker now costs about half that — 12px/4px margins, and the row under a divider drops its own group-start gap — so a day break reads as a slightly stronger break than a normal group gap instead of a void.

A day divider stacked three spacings: the divider's own 22px top and
6px bottom margins, plus the group-start row under it adding another
14px margin and 4px padding - a day change always forces a group
start, since grouping requires the same day. The marker floated in
~76px of blank space, 2.5x the gap of an ordinary group break.

Drop the divider margins to 12px/4px and, when a day divider is added
above a row, tag the row with "after-divider" to drop its own
group-start gap. The divider block now costs ~35px text-to-text,
between an ordinary group break (20px) and the red unread divider.

Mirror the same values in the design mockup (tl-divider, and the
after-divider class in the timeline and thread renderers) so it stays
the source of truth. Verified against the demo timeline under
gtk4-broadwayd: the food room spans three days and shows the tighter
Saturday/Yesterday markers.
